Despite the cautious short-term forecast, Monday.com maintained its full-year revenue guidance between $1.466 billion and $1.474 billion, driven by a strategic shift towards larger customers and growing traction in its artificial intelligence (AI) products.
On August 10, 2026, analyst firm Cantor Fitzgerald downgraded Monday.com (NASDAQ: MNDY), adjusting its rating from Overweight to Neutral. This cloud-based platform provider, Monday.com, offers a "Work OS" that enables organizations to create custom workflow applications. The company operates in a competitive software-as-a-service (SaaS) space with rivals like Asana, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Project.
The stock downgrade reflects concerns about the company's near-term growth. Monday.com issued a third-quarter revenue outlook between $368.00 million and $370.00 million. This forecast, representing 16% to 17% growth, fell short of Wall Street's expectation of $372.80 million, according to FactSet, causing the stock price to drop over 6%.
This weaker guidance overshadowed an otherwise strong second-quarter performance. As highlighted by Invezz, Monday.com reported revenue of $364.60 million, a 22% year-over-year increase that beat analyst estimates. The company also posted adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $1.48, significantly higher than the $1.11 analysts had predicted.
Management explains the softer outlook is due to restructuring and pricing changes. Monday.com is also shifting its focus to larger customers, which leads to longer sales cycles. This strategic move is shown by customers with over $50,000.00 in annual recurring revenue (ARR) now making up 43% of total ARR, up from 38% a year ago.
Despite the cautious third-quarter forecast, Monday.com maintained its full-year revenue guidance between $1.466 billion and $1.474 billion, which aligns with market expectations. The company also reported that its artificial intelligence (AI) products are gaining traction, doubling their recurring revenue from the first quarter.
