The market recorded several sharp gains on August 14, 2026, particularly among biotechnology and technology stocks. Leading the advance was Wetour Robotics Limited (NASDAQ: WETO), a physical artificial intelligence infrastructure and wearable robotics company. Its stock surged 127.70% to close at $8.22, after trading between $7.26 and $12.95. Trading volume exceeded 58 million shares.
Wetour Robotics recently completed a 1-for-100 share consolidation, effective August 3, 2026. The transaction reduced the number of outstanding shares while proportionately increasing the price per share. However, the consolidation occurred nearly two weeks before the August 14 rally, so it should not be identified as the confirmed cause of that day’s increase without additional evidence.
Another major gainer, Capricor Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: CAPR), climbed approximately 58% to $6.65 on volume exceeding 65 million shares. The biotechnology company’s shares advanced after it announced that the FDA was willing to review additional 24-month data for deramiocel, its experimental treatment for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The FDA also agreed to postpone its decision deadline while considering the new submission.
Separately, law firms have notified investors about investigations and potential securities claims involving Capricor. These legal notices were not the catalyst for the August 14 rally and should be presented separately from the FDA development.
CBL International Limited (NASDAQ: BANL), the listed company associated with Banle Group, rose approximately 55% to $10.93. CBL International is an Asia-Pacific marine fuel logistics and bunkering facilitator. The company recently regained compliance with Nasdaq’s minimum bid-price requirement following a 1-for-13 share consolidation, eliminating that particular continued-listing deficiency.
Strong quarterly results contributed to gains elsewhere. Eton Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: ETON) jumped approximately 44% to $58.86 after reporting second-quarter revenue of $37.6 million, up 99% year over year. The rare-disease pharmaceutical company also reported diluted GAAP EPS of $0.35 and raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to more than $145 million.
Safe Pro Group Inc. (NASDAQ: SPAI) increased approximately 38% to $6.17. Safe Pro is a safety and security technology company developing AI-powered threat-detection and mapping systems, drone-based solutions, and protective products. It is not accurately described solely as a personal protective equipment manufacturer.
Safe Pro reported record second-quarter 2026 revenue of approximately $1.33 million, representing a 1,336% increase from $92,753 in the prior-year quarter. The growth was primarily driven by AI product and service sales connected with U.S. government contracts for threat-detection and mapping solutions.
In summary, the day’s largest gains were primarily associated with company-specific developments. Positive FDA news supported Capricor, strong quarterly results lifted Eton Pharmaceuticals and Safe Pro Group, and Nasdaq compliance developments provided additional context for CBL International. Wetour Robotics recorded the largest percentage increase, although no single verified announcement clearly explains its August 14 rally.
