Adobe (NASDAQ: ADBE) is scheduled to release its fiscal third-quarter 2026 results on September 10, 2026, after the market closes. Adobe is a major software company known for its creative, document, and digital-experience platforms. The company continues to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into products such as Creative Cloud, Acrobat, Firefly, and its customer-experience tools as it responds to intensifying competition across the software industry.
Wall Street analysts expect Adobe to report adjusted earnings of $6.08 per share on revenue of approximately $6.69 billion. These estimates are close to Adobe’s guidance, which calls for quarterly revenue between $6.67 billion and $6.72 billion. The midpoint of that range is approximately $6.70 billion.
Adobe has frequently surpassed analysts’ earnings and revenue estimates in recent quarters. Nevertheless, strong results have not always produced a positive market reaction. According to Dow Jones Market Data, Adobe shares have declined following 15 of the company’s past 20 earnings reports. The stock is down approximately 27% in 2026 and closed at $254.86 on September 9, highlighting continued investor concerns about AI competition and Adobe’s ability to convert growing product usage into sustained revenue growth.
Investors are also evaluating a significant leadership transition. Adobe has appointed Anil Chakravarthy as its next President and CEO, effective December 1, 2026. He will succeed Shantanu Narayen, who will become Adobe’s executive chair after serving as CEO for more than 18 years. Chakravarthy currently leads Adobe’s customer-experience orchestration business and worldwide field operations.
Following the leadership announcement, Barclays analyst Saket Kalia maintained an Equal-Weight rating on Adobe and a $295 price target. The appointment comes as Adobe faces pressure to demonstrate that its investments in generative AI can strengthen user growth, monetization, and its competitive position.
From a valuation perspective, Adobe recently traded at a trailing price-to-earnings ratio of approximately 14.6, although this figure changes with the company’s share price. Its reported debt-to-equity ratio of approximately 0.61 indicates moderate financial leverage. However, the ratio alone does not establish that Adobe has a conservative capital structure and should be considered alongside its cash flow, liquidity, debt obligations, and share-repurchase activity.
