MSC Industrial Supply (NYSE: MSM) distributes tools and supplies used by manufacturers and other industrial customers. It competes with other industrial distributors for sales to businesses. Its latest quarter shows higher revenue and adjusted earnings per share, both above the estimates in the initial figures.
Revenue for the quarter ended August 2026 reaches approximately $1.08 billion, up 10.3% from a year earlier. That tops the initial $1.07 billion estimate. It is also 0.43% above the Zacks consensus estimate, as highlighted by Zacks Investment Research; the reported revenue figure is rounded.
Adjusted earnings per share reach $1.45, up from $1.09 a year earlier. That beats the initial $1.41 estimate and the separate Zacks consensus estimate of $1.39. Adjusted earnings leave out certain costs, so they differ from standard diluted earnings per share, which fall to $0.85 from $1.01.
For the full year, sales rise 6.4% to $4.01 billion, while adjusted earnings per share increase to $4.69 from $3.76. Operating cash flow equals 139% of net income, and free cash flow equals 102%. These figures show how much of the company’s reported profit turns into cash.
